Dave and I spent 4 days in Rome just after Easter. The weather was good and the city was beautiful. Here are a few of our many photos.

Back when the weather was good, we spent a great day floating along the canal.

Falmouth

Mum and I spent a weekend in Falmouth, Cornwall, visiting Emma. Even though this involved getting up and leaving Oxford at 7:30 am on a Saturday (eek!) it was really nice to see her and the campus. We also got to see the sea, and visit some family friends who leave on a farm nearby. They had new-born lambs for us to see!

We walked along the cliffs to this beach, where we had ice-cream, covered in clotted cream, covered in a choice of toppings. Sounds like the recipe for a heart attack, and actually isn't all that nice.

Grandpa turns 80

Here are some pictures from a couple of weeks ago; the whole family (almost) got together to celebrate my grandpa turning 80. It was a lovely afternoon with one of the biggest cakes I think I've ever seen!

Unfortunately my sister couldn't celebrate with us as she is currently in Falmouth, but I will be going to visit her this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing her.

University of Oxford

Christ Church College

The ice-cream palour. Some nights, my friends Alice, Charlotte and I walk over after we've eaten dinner for ice-cream, tea and some girly chatting. We prefer it to the pub. My favourite flavour is Baileys ice-cream with hot chocolate fudge sauce.

White Christmas

Some impressive icicles found on the side of a house.

The canal has been completely frozen over for a couple of weeks now, the layer of ice was over 6 inches thick, strong enough to stand on. My mum and her boyfriend tried to travel along the canal in his boat to help a friend, it took 8 hours for them to cover 4 miles.
